Bhutan is a Himalayan kingdom that is most popularly known as the Dragon country and is to the east of Nepal. Bhutan is a truly unique destination for its famously hidden treasure of ancient culture, religion, architecture and its way of life as it was for centuries. Buddhism dominates amongst the population.
Prepare to lose yourselves to the amazingly fascinating people, culture and colorful hand-painted Himalayan buildings, monuments and cinematic landscape. Program Itinerary
Day 01: Ktm- Paro
Escort to the airport and get on the flight to Paro at mid-day. Overnight stay at a hotel in Paro.
Places to visit in Paro: Drukgyel Drong, Chomolhari (Mountain of Goddess) and National Museum.
Day 02: Paro- Thimpu
A 2-hour drive through the Paro to the Thimpu valley in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Places to visit in Thimpu: National Library, Thankas Painting and the Traditional Medicine Institute, Handicrafts Emporium, Tashichhodzong
Day 03: Thimphu to Punakha
Sightseeing around Thimpu in the sites mentioned above. After lunch visit the Memorial Chorten to His late Majesty (King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck). In the evening drive to Punakha and overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Punakha to Gangtey
Day 05: Gangtey to Punakha
Day 06: Punakha to Paro
Day 07: Paro-Ktm
Early breakfast at the hotel and then drive to the airport to board the flight. Your escort will assist you with departure formalities and bid you farewell.
