Day 01: Kathmandu – Zhangmu

Kathmandu to Zhangmu border crossing the Friendship Bridge (Self-arranged). Pickup at the border and escort to the town of Zhangmu. Acclimatization day and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 02: Zhangmu – Old Tingri

After breakfast, drive 210 km from Zhangmu to Old Tingri. Overnight at a hotel in Old Tingri.

Things to see in Old Tingri: Mt. Shishapangma (alt.8012m), Peaks of Mt. Everest and Mt. Cho Aoyou and Sunrise view.

Day 03: Old Tingri – Everest Base Camp

Early morning sunrise view if the weather favors. After breakfast, drive to Mt. Everest Nature Reserve.

Things to see: Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lotse; Mt. Cho Oyu, Rongbuk Monastery.

DAY 04: EBC – SHIGATSE

Wake up early for the sunrise view over the Everest. After breakfast, drive towards Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. Visit to Tashilumpo Monastery. Also observe the highest statue of Buddha in Tibet (26.8 meters high).

Day 05: Shigatse – Gyantse – Lhasa

Breakfast; Morning drive to the historic town of Gyantse.

Things to see in Gyantse: Kumpa Stupa (Ten-thousand stupa), Pelcho Monastery.

At midday, drive to Yamdrok Lake.

Things to see: The turquoise lake, summit of Ninjingkangsang, Karola Glacier. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 06: Lhasa City Tour

Morning: Visit the symbol or landmark of Lhasa-Potala Palace. 
Afternoon: Visit Tibetan Buddhism-Jorhkang Temple. Wander along the Backhor Street, the busiest street in old Lhasa quarter. Opportunity of tasting the most genuine local Tibetan food and drinks. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 07:  Lhasa City Tour

In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery. Also check out the Potala Palace. In the afternoon, visit to Gelugpa Monastery-Sera Monastery.

Day 08: Farewell Day

The unforgettable tour comes to an end; you will be escorted to the airport or train station from where you get back to Kathmandu.
